On 22–23 April 2026, I had the great pleasure of representing Science on Stage Europe at the EU STEM Coalition General Assembly 2026, a two-day meeting that brought together organisations, educators, and policymakers from across Europe to exchange ideas and discuss future priorities for STEM education.
During the poster session, I represented the Science on Stage stand and had the opportunity to exchange ideas with participants about the SonS Grants for teachers, the AI in STEM Education teaching material, and Science on Stage’s upcoming work on Quantum Computing in STEM Education. The strong interest in our stand and the lively discussions around the role of AI and quantum technologies in STEM education were particularly inspiring.
The second day featured keynote sessions addressing both emerging and long-standing challenges in STEM education. The growing importance of quantum technologies and their integration into education, as well as the need to strengthen early-childhood STEM education and digital skills, were among the key topics discussed.
It was a great honour and pleasure to represent Science on Stage at this important European gathering and to connect with stakeholders from across the STEM education community. The meeting once again highlighted the importance of collaboration, innovation, and early engagement in building a stronger and more inclusive future for STEM education in Europe.
22–23 Nisan 2026 tarihlerinde düzenlenen EU STEM Coalition General Assembly 2026 kapsamında, Science on Stage Europe’u temsil ederek iki günlük Genel Kurul toplantısına katılma fırsatı buldum. Avrupa’nın farklı ülkelerinden kuruluşları, eğitimcileri ve politika yapıcıları bir araya getiren toplantıda, STEM eğitiminin geleceği, yeni öncelikler ve iş birliği fırsatları üzerine fikir alışverişinde bulunuldu.
Toplantı kapsamında gerçekleştirilen poster oturumunda Science on Stage standında yer alarak, öğretmenler için küçük hibeler, AI in STEM Education öğretim materyali ve Science on Stage’in yaklaşan Quantum Computing in STEM Education çalışmaları hakkında katılımcılarla görüşmeler gerçekleştirdim. Science on Stage standına gösterilen yoğun ilgi ve özellikle yapay zekâ ile kuantum teknolojilerinin STEM eğitimindeki rolü üzerine yapılan tartışmalar benim için oldukça değerliydi.
İkinci gün gerçekleştirilen keynote konuşmalarında ise STEM eğitiminde karşılaşılan güncel ve uzun süredir devam eden sorunlar ele alındı. Özellikle kuantum teknolojilerinin giderek artan önemi ve eğitimle buluşturulması, erken yaşta STEM eğitiminin güçlendirilmesi ve dijital becerilerin geliştirilmesi gibi konular öne çıktı.
Bu önemli buluşmada Science on Stage’i temsil etmekten ve Avrupa STEM eğitim ekosisteminin farklı paydaşlarıyla bir araya gelmekten büyük mutluluk ve gurur duyuyorum. İş birliği, yenilikçilik ve erken yaşta STEM eğitiminin, Avrupa’da daha güçlü ve kapsayıcı bir STEM geleceği oluşturmanın temel unsurları olduğuna bir kez daha şahit oldum.
